Made up of Mandai and Thomson, District 26 is filled with many places to visit, eat and relax. Located in the North-Eastern region of Singapore, it is a thriving residential area where a myriad of facilities and amenities have sprung up over the years. To the North of Upper Thomson is the other main region of District 26, Mandai, which is more elusive as compared to the more urbanized region of Upper Thomson. The main highlights of Mandai are the Singapore Zoo and the Night Safari. In 2012, the River Safari was built right beside these two tourist attractions. Mandai has also been associated with regular military training, and encompasses three major training areas including Kwok Min, Asrama/Ulu Sembawang, Mandan Bumbong, Gali Batu and Mandai Central.
