Once you have successfully done the ROM, you will be officially married and can apply HFE letter with your non-citizen spouse to get an idea of the grants and loan attainable. May I know the CPF OA and cash available?

Hi,

1) This will dependent on your financial status.
2) If your finance status supports your purchase, you will just need to check your eligibility.
3) Since you are under 35 years old, your foreign spouse must have one of the following:
(a) Long Term Visit Pass, or,
(b) Work Pass
The pass must be at least 6 months old from the date of issue.
4) Once confirmed you have the eligibility, you will need to apply for an HFE to find out the amount of loan and grants available.
5) With the information from the HFE, put in your CPF OA and cash saving. You will have a rough idea of how much you have to make a purchase.
6) There are no difference on the grant amount whether you are applying under NCS or Single Scheme. So, there is no hurry on this.
7) You may engage an agent after receiving the HFE so as to assist in the types of flat and area that could be covered under your budget. He/She will also able to advise on the buyer stamp duty and legal fees needed for the purchase to ensure you won't blow your budget.
