1. Layout & Accessibility
• Check if the unit has lift access and whether it’s near a service lift if you’re on a higher floor.
• Measure doorways and corridors to ensure your furniture fits.

2. Renovation & Utilities
• Confirm the flat’s condition: electrical points, water heater, and aircon piping.
• Check if you need any minor repairs or renovations before moving in.

3. Transport & Parking
• Ensure you can reserve a parking space for your moving truck.
• Look at how far the unit is from MRT/bus stops if you’ll be commuting.

4. Moving Options
• Professional movers: recommended if you have bulky furniture or limited manpower. They handle packing, lifting, and logistics, saving time and reducing risk of damage.
• DIY move: feasible for minimal furniture or if you have friends/family helping, but be mindful of heavy items and building regulations on timing and use of lifts.

Hiring movers isn’t mandatory, but for most people it’s worth it—especially for higher floors or long-distance moves.
