I'm a local and planning to rent a 3 bedroom condo in north area. As tenant im aware that i have to bear the stamp duty fee. Do i still have to pay for any commission if i were to deal directly with the landlord agent?

Dear tenant,

As long as you do your part in sourcing for units and making arrangements yourself for all viewings and am aware of your legal responsibilities and commitments towards going into the tenancy agreement, you do not need to pay any service fees to salespersons. Nevertheless, to save you from any prospective misunderstandings, it will be good to state your intentions to salespersons you called up that you do not have intentions to pay service fees and that if they expect service fees from you, just move on to the next prospective unit that you have shortlisted.
