If HDB reject my appeal to sell my unit in the open market before MOP, can I request to surrender my unit back to HDB itself be it whatever price and no profit at all? Not under grounds of divorce. And let's say if a spouse died will HDB approve the sale or surrender of flat before MOP for the remaining spouse? Since there is only one person left with reduced financial ability to finance the mortgage.
