Morning,

Where does most investors choose to go, during the downturn of certain economy? Many expert out there agree that the US and Euro are heading for bitter end. That's why the ASEAN is creating it's own trading zone. Many investors are also moving their assets into the ASEAN. With US and Euro's downtown, where do you think the investors will venture into?

This is my little thought and concept. Hope we speak the same language.

i think, when recession comes then lot of jobs are wiped out. there was news in bloomberg yesterday that there are 40000+ job cut happened in 2011 and more job cuts will be there in 2011. so if somebody bought 2 condo - 1 for self and 1 for investment - then he would be willing to sell one investment condo to avoid high emi for that condo. investers are not investing in asean countries also as they are over-rated. they are waiting for all air to come out from bubble then they will start invest. it will take another 6 months. again this is my personal view, where others may not agree.
What is your reason to buy? A house or unit of your choice is difficult to find. It will take some time especially if you are buying for own stay. There are always demand for location and good units. The S&P process needs careful and confident planning with resale checklist

submission especially HDB, CPF, bank and lawyer etc. Recently my client 'suddently'

bought a dream condo while 'holding on' to a HDB flat. They needed the extra 'funds'

for the condo. Hence, after a series of planning, discussion and deliberation, they

finally decided to sell their HDB unit. If you want a consistent S&P process, call us for

an opinion. The stress relief effort is enormous and the commission is insignificant.

Hi!

I might think i know how market will move for Singapore properties, but i think i will keep the opinions to myself.

But just recently, I had an overseas investor who were deciding to invest in Australia or Singapore and they ended up choosing Singapore.

There was also another cases where i got this Indonesian who liquidated his shares and decided to buy gold and property.. and he chose Singapore because he finds the country a stable country and believes that the stability will attract more business opportunities and hence a increase in demand for properties.

Of course, there are also a lot of owners who liquidated their properties now not because they are hard up for cash, its because they adopted the wait and see method. In the event that the market here really moves south, they are ready to buy again.. then it set me thinking.. if they do that, wouldn't it remind you of the past "short" property cycle we saw in the recent recession? The property prices dipped for a while before shooting up again.

Well, I have no idea what the market will be for Singapore. But this are just the examples i have for you that is happening on the ground.

Cheers.
