i had viewed a unit and very keen to place a deposit but owner keep saying valuation report not out yet after more 2 weeks. Agent slipped his tongue saying report out already, when we were out of the unit. Can the owner keep asking valuation again and again? i felt not fair to buyer. Pls advice as i'm not local. many thanks

Hi Andrew,

Its unlikely that there will be much change to pricing as to whether how many times the owner do the valuation report.

And valuation is use mainly as a guide price. You will still have the final say to how much you are willing to pay for the house.

Valuation can be done as many times as possible.

Fair or not, what matters is whether it is legal or not.

I suggest you move on, such seller strategies are, like you've said, unfair to the buyer who locks in emotions to the property.

Evening Andrew,

There's no regulation regulating the frequency of which the valuation report can be done for a unit. The owner is simply wasting time and money. As different reports done within a short span or period would not have much difference.
Hence I agree with Vincent, move on and look for better and more sincere seller.

All the best.
