I currently own an HDB flat.

Given the circumstances that I and my foreigner spouse get married and wishes to purchase condo. What are the various duty that need to be paid for and what is the best option for the condo to be put under our name, her name or my name..

Afternoon Marcus,

In purchasing a residential property in Singapore, you will be subject to buyer's stamp duty (additional buyer's stamp duty will be applicable for your case as your spouse is a foreigner), stamp duty for mortgage and legal fees.

As for the ABSD, you may apply for remission from IRAS but it's on a case by case basis.
