I currently own a resale HDB bought under Non-resident Family Scheme. My husband own a private condo under his own name. When we get married, can we retain our properties? Is it required to include his name as essential occupier for my HDB?

Good evening,

To my understanding it is that if your HDB has fulfilled the MOP of 5 years, you can keep your HDB and your spouse can keep the private property and need not sell away. His name will be required to be added as an occupier.

To confirm this it is advisable to check with HDB Branch on this and get their written reply, as it is up to HDB discretion.
