I am thinking of selling my private condominium unit with an agreement by the potential buyer to allow me to continue to stay in the unit for up to 6 months after the sale completion. This is to allow me to source and do my next purchase. How can I hold the buyer to his agreement ? Do we do a separate agreement for him to sign Or can I request for this clause to be included in the OTP ? What is your advice ?

Hi,

You could certainly include that in the OTP. However, the closing price will likely to be below the average transacted price as buyer will ask for a discount equivalent to 6 months rent or more.

There are a few ways to overcome this without putting yourself in a disadvantageous position. Do call and I will share with you the various options upon understanding your situation.
