Hi Shyam

Under the Residential Act, the min rental stay is 6 months for residential properties.

Why risk getting into trouble if it does not comply with the law? It does not matter if you are ignorant or not, all the parties including the agent who brokerage the deal will be severely dealt with by the authorities if caught.

Also, you will need to move again after 3 months. Suggest that you look for a unit that allows you to stay for min 6 months.

Hope this clarifies. Read More
