Hi, my sister and ex brother in law are going through separation now.

Their EC has already TOP but now due to reasons that i shall not elaborate, my ex bro in law refuses to sign to collect the keys to the EC to take possession even though that was the previous agreement in the deed of separation.

May I know if there is a deadline for them to take possession of the EC and collect the keys? Will the developer allow us to hold on to the EC for as long as we continue to pay the monthly mortgage?

Please do not ask me to check with the developer as we have done so and not gotten a clear answer.

Do reply based on what you have experienced before. Thanks alot!

Hi,

Re: Today’s SG Professional Choice- SGAgent.com & SGRealtor.com

Common cases, the developer will obtain the EC back since the bank will not release the loan to pay for the TOP.

Your sister need to check the penalty involved for now since you aborting the EC units.
