Hi, I'm SC and my fiancé is SPR. Our combined income is slightly over 12k. Is there any chance for us to get a new EC?

I have one more question, for buying properties in general, do we have to pay for agent fee if we contact one to help us or is the fee going to be from the seller side? Thank you.

Hi, if your combined income is slightly more than 12k, then what I suggest would be to appeal as there are a number of successful cases. For your next question, it will be a nope. Buyer do not have to pay any commission when it comes to purchasing of EC and private property. Pls feel free to let me know if you need any assistance.

Good morning buyer,

Like my fellow professionals have mentioned, you can appeal to be eligible to purchase a new EC. But do take note that normally priority will be given to those who are qualified before appealed cases like you are allowed to choose your desired unit.

May I know which new EC are you keen? I will love to assist you with your appeal and hopefully your dream house.

As for agent's commission and for this instance, you wont have to pay any commission to developer's marketing agent if you are purchasing a new EC. Even you have engaged a real estate salesperson (me for instance) to assist you with your purchase, I will take commission from them as well. So no to worry.

Normally for private transactions, commission are given by property sellers and developers. Buyer's rep will take a cut from seller's rep. Only for resale HDB transactions, buyers will have to pay up to 1% of purchase price to their rep.

Hope my explanation helps!

If you need any assistance in your appeal, feel free to contact me. Cheers!

Hi,

You would have to appeal if income exceeds 12K slightly for new EC, HDB approval is on case by case basis. For developer sales of new EC/new private property or resale property, buyers need not pay agent fees. Thanks and may I have the opportunity to understand your housing requirements?

Warm regards,
