Hi, I am a tenant and rent a condo. I have an issue with my landlord about there's a "burn mark"on the kitchen countertop which I am the cause of it. My question is should I pay for the repairing in FULL Cost? Is this a case of Wear and Tear? Please advice. Thanks.

If indeed is a burned mark, it is definitely not a case of wear and tear, as such incidents can be avoided with using protective coasters or mats to prevent the table top from being burnt. Read More

Hi, wear and tear is damage that naturally and inevitably occurs as a result of normal wear or aging. For your case, it doesn't falls under this category. However, you may always look into your tenancy agreement to see if there's any other clause that can helps e.g fire insurance etc. Alternatively, you may discuss with your landlord.
