Dear Gurus
I am at a cross road and hope can get some advice:
1) I am 35 years old this year
2) Only child staying With my Mum in HDB now
I have always been saving for own place, as I finally turn 35 this year and eligible to get my own HDB under the the Single HDB plan this July.
However with the recent drop in property prices, the ideal of getting a private apartment/ condo comes to mind.
I have the below objective and goals:
Goals:
1) I plan to stay with my mum( in present place or old place)
2) We plan to keep her place (woodlands HDB) for rental yield
3) New place should ideally be in center location as i been staying 20 over years in woodlands i hope to move close to center , Eg AMK Bishan area
4) New place should ideally have opportunity for capital appreciation
5) limited funds of 180,000 in OA for private apartment
Will getting an private apartment be a better bet with the softening of prices or is HDB still a better buy?
