The Jovell, a 428-unit condominium by Hong Leong Holdings, is touted as the first newly launched residential project along Flora Drive in five years. If you’re not familiar with this location, below are some perks of living in this area.

1. Be enticed by its proximity to Jewel Changi Airport

By car, travelling from the 99-year leasehold condo via the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) to the upcoming Jewel Changi Airport takes less than 10 minutes.

Once the retail and lifestyle complex spanning 134,000 sq m opens by March 2019, it’s anticipated to attract crowds of locals and tourists alike. The mixed-use development will feature amazing features like the world’s biggest indoor waterfall, a five-storey indoor garden, and various leisure facilities such as sky nets suspended 25m above ground and canopy mazes.

Apart from housing the only permanent Pokemon retail store outside Japan, Jewel will also contain around 300 shops and F&B outlets, including a few world-famous and home-grown brands.

2. Malls, eateries and supermarkets are within easy reach

The Jovell, which features a range of one- to four-bedroom units, is just a short drive to Loyang Point HDB shopping complex, where residents can find Giant and Sheng Siong supermarkets, in addition to clinics, hair salons and food courts.

If you’re looking to splurge some cash, travelling to the three shopping centres in Tampines Central – Tampines One, Century Square and Tampines Mall – is a breeze. Apart from satisfying your dining, shopping and entertainment cravings, those malls contain established brands such as Muji, Charles & Keith, Sephora, Uniqlo and H&M.

If you’re looking for new pieces of furniture, going to IKEA Tampines only takes about 10 minutes by car, and a Courts Megastore and Giant Hypermarket are within the vicinity.

3. Proximity to employment hubs and schools

If you reside in this condo, you don’t have to spend much time commuting to places of work. For instance, it only takes roughly nine minutes by car to get to Changi Business Park, which is home to several multinational corporations such as IBM, Honeywell, J.P. Morgan, DBS Bank and Standard Chartered, while the Singapore Expo is also nearby.

Moreover, you won’t struggle to find a good school for your children as Tampines Junior College and the Singapore University of Technology and Design are a short drive away. Also in the east are international schools like the Japanese School, United World College of South East Asia and Overseas Family School.

4. Beaches, green spaces and a theme park at your doorstep

The Jovell is within cycling distance to three beaches – Changi Beach, East Coast Park and Pasir Ris Beach. If you can’t get enough of the sand and waves, the condo is the perfect home for you as it will feature resort-style facilities like a 200m continuous waterscape and man-made beach.

Specifically, Pasir Ris Park is just a 10-minute drive, likewise for the Wild Wild Wet theme park, which features exciting water rides. You can also drop by at the historic Changi Village to unwind at the Changi Boardwalk or take a boat to go hiking in Pulau Ubin island.

5. Excellent accessibility to other parts of Singapore

Expected to be completed by 2021, the condo is a haven where you can retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, but is close enough to where the action is. In fact, travelling from The Jovell to other parts of Singapore is easy thanks to the condo’s proximity to major roads, namely the PIE, ECP and TPE.
