I'm on EP pass and I just rented an entire condo unit. Now,my friend just changed her job and would like to move in with me. My TA with the landord specifically allowed subletting, but how can I legally bind my friend ( the subtenant) to me ( the main tenant). Are there any forms or agreements that allow me to do so, to protect my interest? And can I engage an agent to help me with that process of legally binding the subtenant to the main tenant?

Hi!

If your TA with landlord allows subletting and you sublet to your friend, you would have become 'landlord' and your friend will be your 'tenant'. You will need to have a TA between you and your friend, which is only binding between you both and not the main Landlord.
