I was about to sign a lease today for a master's bedroom at a condo but when I asked to verify the landlord's ic and name, the person showed me his work permit (WP) card. The one currently occupying the room I wanted to rent out is telling me that the guy rented out the whole place and sublets the rooms to the sub tenants. Is subletting legal in condos in Singapore?

Hi, you may get into trouble if the owner is not aware of it so you may want to think twice before you rent this room.
