Asked by
I previously co-owned a 5-room resale HDB flat with my ex-wife, both if us took housing grant then.

After divorce, I took over this flat as the sole owner.

I have remarried. My spouse and I have intention of applying for a BTO flat (maybe 4 or 5 room). If successful, I understand that I will need to pay resale levy. Question is, what is the resale levy amount that I am expected to pay? Thanks.

Hi,

1) This is just an add-on to what was answered.
2) Resale levy has to be paid in cash.
3) If there is any cash proceed after selling your current flat, the resale levy will be deducted directly before returning the balance to you.
4) If there is insufficient cash proceed after selling, you will have to top up the amount in cash.
5) You won't be given the key until this resale levy is paid.
