hi.
I would like to lease out my bungalow and I would like to ask a question on diplomatic clause in the tenancy agreement.
My understanding of diplomatic clause applies for a company lease. as for personal lease, the tenant is also ok to break lease usually for a 12+2 months, provided he shows prove that he is immigrating or transfer out of singapore by his company.
However, here is the tricky part. An expat tenant recently wished to lease my place on a personal lease for 2 years and he is the boss of his own company. He will not be registering any company in Singapore. He is looking to sign up for the international schools in singapore and thus accompanying them and work from Singapore home....
and he is looking to have diplomatic clause in the contract.
So how is this going to work? He can just leave anytime after serving notice during the 12th month + 2mths.
Any advise on this?
