Hi,

If a residential property is acquired on or after 20 Feb 2010, SSD is payable if the residential property is disposed of within the holding period.

In most instances, the date of purchase/ acquisition of a property refers to:

1) Date of Acceptance of the Option to Purchase* or
2) Date of Sale and Purchase Agreement or
3) Date of Agreement for Lease (for new HDB flat)

And for a more accurate answer, simply just check with your law firm will do.

The SSD date is computed based on the exercise date of the OTP, hence 01 Sep 2020 in your case. May I know when did you purchase your property so as to ascertain the SSD payable for you?

Base on what you have provided in this question, your sale will not be subjected to SSD if you sell on 2nd September 2023 onwards (3 years from date of exercising the Option To Purchase on 1st September 2020.)
