Whether new or resale depends on your objectives and priorities. Would you be moving in with your family? Or just yourself. Are you looking to exit in the next 10 years? Typically newer condos provide a better exit plan as resale buyers prefer newer design condos with up to date facilities and better upkeep, as well as longer balance lease. The floor plan is typically more efficient, but the overall total floor area usually is smaller. Buying under construction condos also avoid the high interest rate period now as it is by progressive payment, and the monthly repayment is lower since the loan disbursement is much later.
For resale, the loan will kick in straightaway once you take over the property, and usually you need to spend a sum in reno to refresh the property. Typically you get more space and floor area for the same price, and if you have specific locations in mind some areas only have completed property.
