Hi can i use my mother's name to apply for new HDB flat but she is not staying with us? My parents are renting 2 room flat from HDB and will they impacted if i and my mother join name to buy new HDB. Kindly need your advice

currently i owning a 3 rm hdb which i bought 10 yrs ago with my non sporean wife....want to change to bigger 4 rm new flat

Hi,

Both of you will have to give up your flats upon the BTO completion (she has to give up her rental flat, and you have to sell your 3rm). The rule is each applicant can't have 2 hdbs concurrently at any 1 time. Ideally, you should just use your parents name to apply the BTO. Thanks and hope it clarifies.
