Currently we had rented an industrial unit and was wondering who should pay commission for agent for rental of industrial unit?The Landlord or the tenant? As the agent whom represent by the landlord is asking us to pay the commission.

Have you already entered into a binding agreement for this rental? Check through the documents you have signed for this transaction.

If nothing is firmed, you may wish to reconsider taking up this unit if you do not have any intentions of paying commission. Commission agreement is negotiated between the salesperson and the client, and it is regulated that the salesperson should not collect commission from both landlord and tenant.
