With the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic going on, winning developers at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore) have stepped up to help curb the spread of the virus.

As the Covid-19 pandemic spread across the world from China, Singapore has been thrust into the spotlight as the world noticed the swift and impressive measures it placed to contain the virus.

Under the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020, for instance, temporary relief is given to households requiring financial assistance or to individuals who cannot meet contractual obligations, OrionW Law Firm reported.

The recently enacted law also controls the movement of people, bans public gatherings, imposes physical distancing when outside and prevents the use of sports and public recreation facilities. Educational institutions and most business offices were also ordered to close.

The emergence of confirmed cases in foreign worker dormitories also prompted the authorities to separate non-infected workers and house them in vacant Housing Board flats, floating hotels, the Changi Exhibition Centre and military campsites.

As the country continues to battle the Covid-19 pandemic, winning developers at the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore) stepped up to help the government control the spread of Covid-19 and support citizens by providing millions worth of contributions.

Frasers Property Singapore worked with Singapore Red Cross, setting up community blood donation drives at the company’s retail and commercial properties. They also funded Red Cross Youth’s disaster risk reduction programme, which is focused on promoting good hygiene practices among the elderly within at-risk neighbourhoods.

The developer also extended financial support to the Red Cross Day Activity Centre for the Disabled and Red Cross Home for the Disabled as well as the Transport Aid and Medical Chaperone and Transportation Services.

Frasers Property Singapore emerged as one of the big winners at the 2019 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore), clinching the title for eight categories while snatching 16 highly commended trophies.

In 2013 and 2016, CDL bagged the Best Developer award at the South East Asia Property Awards (Singapore), rebranded as PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore).

UOL Group reduced the opening hours of their sales galleries in the hopes of flattening the curve. It also limited the viewing of show flats to appointments only, while introducing a new sales e-system to help clients complete all documentation without the need for physically dropping by their offices.
