Over 17,300 real estate agents from ERA will get an “easy, low-cost way to capture 3D virtual tours of properties through the real estate agency’s partnership with Matterport.

ERA Singapore has partnered Matterport to provide over 17,300 ERA real estate agents an “easy, low-cost way to capture 3D virtual tours of properties”.

Matterport creates “digital twins” of properties which give prospective house buyers access to comprehensive, virtual, round-the-clock property viewings.

With the partnership, ERA agents can opt “to schedule a Matterport professional to capture the property and have the 3D model in their account within 24 hours of completing the scan”.

“Agents who want to capture virtual tours themselves can also purchase Matterport cameras,” said Matterport in a release.

Aside from equipping agents with up-to-date information, training materials as well as best practices of virtual technology relating to real estate marketing, a series of Matterport webinars will also see ERA agents learn how to add descriptive multimedia Mattertags, share auto-generated videos and photos on social media and create highlight reels that provide home buyers with a guided tour of the property.

Bruce Wells, Managing Director of Matterport APAC, noted that the current situation globally showed how impactful 3D capture technology can be.

“With forward-thinking real estate companies like ERA leading the charge, digital twins are quickly becoming a standard in real estate,” he said.

ERA Realty Network CEO Jack Chua revealed that many real estate agents were affected by the government’s restrictions on physical property viewing due to the lack of technology support during the initial circuit breaker period.

“This partnership has greatly safe-guarded the future of our agents as they have everything they need to promote their listings virtually now,” he said.
