UPDATED: A total of 8,230 flats were launched for sale on Tuesday (14 November) by the Housing and Development Board (HDB) in its latest sales exercise.

This comprises 4,829 Build-To-Order (BTO) units and 3,401 balance flats across 25 estates.

The BTO flats comprise a range of 2-room Flexi to 3Gen flats spread across five projects in Punggol, Sengkang, Geylang and Tampines. Excluding housing grants, prices range from $90,000 for a 2-room Flexi flat at the Anchorvale Village and Fernvale Glades projects in Sengkang to $522,000 for a 4-roomer in Geylang’s Eunos Court.

Eligible first-time buyers can enjoy up to $80,000 of housing grants, comprising the Additional CPF Housing Grant and the Special CPF Housing Grant of up to $40,000 each.

With these grants, buyers could pay as little as $10,000 for a 2-room Flexi flat.

Around 80 percent of the BTO units will be constructed using the Prefabricated Prefinished Volumetric Construction (PPVC) method, which aims to improve construction productivity.

The PPVC flats will come with floor and wall finishes, internal doors, window frames, sanitary fittings and a basecoat of paint. “This will allow flat buyers to move into their flat more quickly as less renovation works are required,” said HDB.

Applications are open till next Monday (20 November), and buyers can apply online at HDB’s website.

The November BTO launch brings the total number of new flats offered this year to 17,584 units.

HDB also said that some 3,600 flats in Choa Chu Kang, Geylang, Tampines and Woodlands will be offered for sale in the next BTO launch in February 2018.
