Hi, We have a large penthouse along with a large balcony which we would like to enclose as part of our bedroom and living room space . I am advised that MCST do not approve this.
There is an existing sliding door partition that divides our bedrooms+ living rooms with the balcony . How can we enclose the balcony that would be permitted by law.
Can we have frameless sliding and folding doors to ensure we continue to comply with the law but at the same time get to make use of this balcony space within our bedrooms which are terribly tiny ?
Can we submit a plea to URA as MCST is terribly stubborn in permitting this ? as they say taking the balcony enclosure and shifting the sliding doors to the edge of the balcony would contravene facade guidelines . Wouldn't in that case putting frameless glass doors solve the problem ?
I mean is there really no solution to this ? Advise would be much appreciated . Thanks
