Hi!
I am thinking of downgrading from a 5-room to a 3 or 4-room HDB (at least 80sqm) in a high-rental yield area (close to amenities) & staying for 2years.Would like to buy a Private condo thereafter and rent out that unit. Are there any restrictions or rules on minimum occupation period of the resale HDB unit? Which is a good area with budget of $400k? Can I sell and buy concurrently? Any units ready to move-in?

Hi Lim,

Latest regulation indicates MOP is 5 years for HDB therefore I am afraid that you may need to amend your plans.

You may sell off your unit and buy another concurrently, however proper time management is required should you have no options of accomodation during the transition.
