Hi, I am currently a co-owner of a 3 room HDB flat (resale unit/ No MOP) with my father.

Can my fiancée purchase a private condo or a privatised EC while I continue to hold on to my existing HDB even after our marriage?

Will I have to give up my interest in the HDB after marriage? Our intention is to keep the HDB for passive income by renting it out and stay at the condo.

Hi,

Yes she can purchase a private condo / resale EC on her sole name, and you need not give up your current hdb. However, the funding (in terms of cpf/loan) will also have to come solely from her age and income profile.

May I have more info and requirements about your plans so to make better recommendations? Thanks and look forward to value-add to your housing plans.

Evening,

Your wife is able to purchase private property while you still maintain the ownership on your HDB unit.

Do feel free to contact me for further discussion.

Hi Sir,

Your wife can proceed to purchase her own private property, without you needing to sell your HDB flat. You do not have to give up your interest in your HDB flat, and can rent it out.

Should you need any further assistance in matters relating to property, please contact me at my mobile 9748 6305  . I will be happy to assess and share with you the possibilities for you in the current market.

Thank you.

Best regards,
