Hi Gurus, we are planning to buy a resale HDB near Pasir Ris. I m Sg citizen, single, with monthly income of 4k sgd. My father is holding a long term visit pass, with monthly income of 3k sgd in China.

Q1. Are we allowed to buy a resale HDB unit under Non-Citizen Family Scheme?

Q2. According to the new rules, the cap on the HDB loan MSR will be 35% of gross monthly income. If we apply for HDB loan, will my father's income be included in the gross monthly income?

Thanks.

Evening Jack,

Being SC, you are eligible to purchase resale HDB unit under non-citizen family scheme. Your parent's being the essential occupier must have his name being removed from any properties which they have at hand.

As your father not the owner and the income is not obtained in SG, it might be difficult for bank to include your dad's income as the household income for the computation of loan.
