Hi Khidir,

Based on the information that you have provided, ie your household income and the cash savings that you have, I think you are in a good position to upgrade. However, it is still advisable to draw up a full financial plan and do up a in principal approval for loan before you proceed.

With these figures in mind, you will be able to know what is the price of the property you are able to afford comfortably and more importantly the monthly cash and loan outlay. You may also want to plan in terms of your timeline so that you are able to transit smoothly and seamlessly from your current place to the new house especially you have 2 kids.
