The 8 St Thomas luxury condo in prime District 9 has found buyers for almost half of the units released for sale since the project held its private preview in August and the public preview a month later, according to its developer Bukit Sembawang Estates.

“We have sold almost 50 percent of the units released with prices ranging from $3,200 psf to $3,500 psf,” said a spokesperson for the developer.

According to latest transaction data from URA, prices at the freehold condo range from $1.42 million for a one-bedroom unit measuring 441 sq ft to $4.42 million for a 1,302 sq ft three-bedder.

Completed in January, the freehold project comprises two 35-storey towers with a total of 250 units. Buyers can choose from standard one- to four-bedroom units from 441 sq ft to 1,755 sq ft. There are also four-bedroom dual key units measuring 1,690 sq ft and two penthouses (2,422 or 2,659 sq ft).

8 St Thomas is located a short distance from Somerset MRT station, but is actually closer to the upcoming Great World MRT station on the Thomson-East Coast line, which is expected to open by 2021. Several cafés, bars and restaurants can be found at nearby Robertson Quay.

8 St Thomas is within walking distance to River Valley Primary School, while Raffles Girls Secondary School, St. Margaret’s Primary School and Anglo-Chinese School are also nearby.

The project features various facilities including tennis courts and a clubhouse set amidst a cascading waterfall that houses a gym, steam room and private function room.

Aside from a swimming pool, wading pool and garden trail, 8 St Thomas comes with five sky gardens with lounge areas and six sky terraces with game zones, cocktail lounges and gourmet dining areas, as well as yoga and fitness decks.

8 St Thomas recently won the Best Luxury Condo and Best Luxury Condo Architectural Design accolades during the PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Singapore) 2018 held in October.

It was also awarded the Building Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark Gold for its eco-friendly features.
