1) $10,000 to $20,000
Vincent Chiam from Palmwood says, “For this budget category, I would advise clients to take care of basic carpentry and basic fittings first. Keep the look simple and refrain from incorporating mirrors or glass into the interior design, those can be added in future.”
Keep it airy and light, like in this home that maximises the most of its space by keeping it uncluttered. Strategic splashes of colour and having the seating options in different textures adds visual interest.

2) $20,000 to $30,000
Thomas Poon from Thom Signature recommends focusing on the living room and building more smart storage options. “New homes tend to be smaller, so storage is important to avoid a cluttered space. I would also suggest building false ceilings or cove lighting, they can greatly improve the ambience. Soft furnishings such as curtains and the sofa are important too.”
Feel like you’re in a Balinese resort without stepping out of this house. The darker colours are balanced out by the use of natural materials such as wood, and with strategic lighting, this place might relax you more than some spas.

Jayden Cheong from GSID explained that homeowners in this budget range have some leeway to play with materials such as mirrors, which can help visually enlarge a space.
Open the door and step into a science-fiction movie set in this condominium unit. Neon-coloured cove lighting and feature walls go a long way in conveying the desired mood.
