I bought an EC with my ex-fiancé under fiancé-fiancée scheme with CPF first timer grant and bank loan. We did not get married in the end and we each got married with our current spouse. He is currently staying in the EC and we got special approval to sell the EC before MOP in December 2021. We need to sell the unit either within 6 months from now or latest within 6 months after MOP. Can I buy a resale flat with my current spouse now while waiting for the EC to be sold? Do I have to wait till the sale of EC is completed (including paperwork and refund to CPF) to buy a resale flat? From my understanding, I need to dispose the EC within 6 months after purchase of a resale flat. What is the fastest way to get my own home (I assume it’s resale flat) with my current spouse?
