Even with limited space available, there doesn’t seem to be any slow down with Newton’s new projects. Competition remains high.
Because of the size of Newton, wherever you are, the MRT, shopping and dining choices are never going to be far away which lessens the need to be right on top of the MRT stations.

Dunearn Road’s Chancery Court was sold en bloc in May this year (2018). The sale price was 6% higher than the reserve price which is an indication of the attractiveness of the area. The site will be redeveloped into a five-storey development boasting up to 481 units.

Newton may be perceived as small but it’s popular. It’s connectivity to Novena and Orchard plays a part. The train is on both the red, north-south line and blue, downtown line which makes it easy for residents to travel to Orchard, Bishan, Botanic Gardens or Bugis to name a few.
Furthermore, as a district, Newton still retains some of that old Singapore charm which is a huge plus for locals who visit the food court regularly. It’s also popular among expats who work in and around Orchard.
