Transportation options in Marina Bay

Residents, tourists, and visitors in Marina Bay are spoilt for choice when it comes to connectivity. In fact, three rail lines pass through the town – the Downtown, Circle, and North-East lines.

Marina Bay can expect the opening of the Thomson-East line (2021) to bring even more convenience. As such, commuters can easily travel Gardens by the Bay, Marina South, and Shenton Way.

Set to open in the area by 2021 (Stage 3), the new Thomson-East Coast line will bring more locals straight to the doorsteps of Gardens by the Bay, Marina South, Shenton Way and Marina Bay where the TEL will form an interchange with the North-South Line and Circle Line. 

Jurong Regional Line (JRL)

The Jurong Regional Line will connect existing Circle and North-East lines, expanding its network to better the lives of residents in Jurong and Punggol.

Circle Line Stage 6

The new Circle Line extension will connect HarbourFront Station with Marina Bay Station. 2025 is its completion date.

The TEL will improve quality of living for professionals in their daily commute. The line will additionally benefit people living in Woodlands and East Coast. 

Residents of Singapore can expect to travel from Orchard Boulevard to Marina Bay in 10 minutes on the Thomson-East Line. Residents of Marina Bay can will be able to travel more comfortably to previously un-connected areas of Thomson and the East-Coast.
