He started off his first job as a real estate agent after army at age 22. With limited resources and after seeing a close friend making close to 6-figure as a real estate agent in a single month, John wanted to make his 'quick money' for his university fee. However, after learning more into this trade, John quickly develops a passion for this industry. Some will even say, John found his life purpose.
Being a driven person, John takes up any courses he can find about real estate and read up as many books as he can about sales, property, investments and business. His close friends said that he was "insanely money-minded" and always "wanted to find shortcuts in life" John quickly proved himself and won multiple awards over the years and earn a humble reputation for himself.
John got his BTO at age 23, one year after he was in real estate. At that point of time, seniors in the industry told him to get into the property game as soon as he can. However, he couldn't afford private property yet. Today, he owns multiple properties in both Singapore and overseas.
Not easily contented, John went on to explore many other business opportunities along the way and went into a few ventures with partners. Some turned out well, some failed miserably. Today, he enjoys 5 different sources of income streams from his past efforts and investments. Financial freedom is achieved at his young age. However, he doesn't rest on his laurels, he continues to search, improve and impart what his knowledge to his loved ones and close friends.
What makes John different is that, his strategy is numbers driven, straightforward, no nonsense and simple to understand. John strongly believes that the real estate industry is filled with too much fluff and the best way to determine a good investment is through the golden quote "numbers don't lie". He is committed to help his clients fulfill their housing needs through a systematic and simple to understand approach. Every individual has their own unique set of problems, there is no one size fit all solution. On top of that, due to his business and investments experiences, John is able to provide a holistic advice on whether property investment in Singapore still makes sense or not.
Due to his past performance, clients come back to him for repeat business or to recommend friends to him. Over time, he has built a strong pool of clients-turn-friends who will always speak highly of him and his service. Aside from property, John also likes to share more about his life experiences to young aspiring entrepreneurs and investors who just starting out their journey. As part of giving back, he volunteers to give talks at secondary schools, polys and JCs about his life experiences.
John also has a team of professionals to support his clients for other property related matters, such as bankers, lawyers, renovation companies, movers, cleaners etc. Also, he is currently with the largest real estate listed company in Singapore, Propnex Realty Pte Ltd, with more than 7500 agents. This means better training, resources and better value added to his clients.
The real estate industry is constantly evolving and real estate consultants need to stay on top of the game and continue to educate themselves.
