Not suitable for Families
I have lived here many years but recently, the building is not not family friendly. Especially for children. There are many units rented out to Vice activities and the Management refuses to acknowledge. -

Restricitive
I have lived in this condo for several years. Although the condo didn’t offer many facilities, it did provide a nice easy environment. Being a smallish condo, the ambience was friendly and informal. Since last year the attitude of management has become very unreasonable and non-inclusive. Almost with heavy handedness, they have started imposing restrictions, which directly impact the day to day activities of residents. Example, disallowing children from playing even with soft balls, charging residents for the use of tennis court (even if it is under-utilized), not maintaining the common areas well, such as the swimming pool surroundings. Any escalation to the management is ineffective. If the condo loses its friendly and homely environment, it is not left with much attractiveness for future tenants & buyers -

Families with children beware
Positive: 1. Apartments are spacious 2. 2 units on each floor 3. New playground for babies only. Negative: 1. Not a child friendly condo. Many restrictions on ball games for young children. Inflexible and illogical rules set by management. 2. No gym or function room. 3. Noisy because of ECP right next to the property, have to close windows to watch TV, talk on the phone etc. 4. Lobby, pool area and bbq pits are very dated and are in need of renovation. 5. Common toilets are very badly maintained stinking most of the times. 6. Lobby area outdated badly in need of renovation. 7.tennis courts charges are being implemented for use of courts. 8. Inconvenient location if you want to travel by public transport. Private buses to CBD are available in the morning but are very expensive. -

Noisy, NOT children friendly, Anti Sports!
I have been staying in Casa Meyfort for the last 4 years, as we liked the apartment size and layout and a few likeminded and friendly families here. However, we are now thinking about moving out due to a litany of reasons. I am sure many other residents would share my sentiment. The cause is attributable to a gradual change in the attitude of the Management Committee (MC), which is affecting the welfare across all sections of residents. To start with, the condo has limited facilities; in that there is no gymnasium, no squash court, no function room, etc. The Condo has a swimming pool, a tennis court, and patch of land in the rear, not visited by anyone, where children played various games. Recently, the MC banned ball games in that area sighting farfetched scenarios. In the following month, the MC passed a resolution to charge for the use of tennis courts, arguing that it is unreasonable for the non-players to bear the maintenance charges of tennis courts. As it is, the condo has very few children, who are currently upset for all their activities have been clamped down. The barbeque place and the swimming pool are not well maintained, so not visited by many. The condo is very noisy, and I know of many familiies who moved out because of that. The condo is not very conveniently located in terms of proximity to either MRT or bus. (I fondly remember a condo on Grange Road, where not only the facilities are of course free, but the MC goes out of its way to cordon off a section of the parking lot, over the weekends, to provide additional space for the kids to play.) All in all, if you are a gym enthusiast, a tennis lover, if you have kids, or if you enjoy a peaceful environment or commuting convenience, then this is not the Condo for you! -

Spacious but Noisy
We lived here for 2 years in a 1900sqft 10th level appartment. Positive * Spacious, bright & Windy * Walking distance to beach, 2 parks & 1 dog run, local stores & indian store * Paid Shuttle buses to Kallang Leisure Mall & Parkway parade, Morning shuttles to the CBD Negative * No public transport - local buses long walk on Mountbatten & Fort Road only - nothing on meyer road * Cannot walk dog anywhere inside condo * No gym or Clubhouse/Function Room - only small kids playground, swimming pool, 1 tennis court, Very old steam/sauna room -
