Catherine,

The reason why we're here in Guru is simply due to our vast experiences in real estate matters and it's also the matter of the heart of most dwellers. Thank you!

It was a learning experiences for me too ( dealing with termites ), thinking U killed my colony, they will come back when U least expected to form another colony and start allover again.

P/S: A famous Otel in Orchard Rd was infested too, on 30th flr, How on earth the termite there in the 1st place, you wonder . . .

Sorry to hear of your fate . . . Nonetheless, more than 60% of Sp pty are infested with termites, mainly due to our weather condition, humid, moist and sunny, therefore termites loves this environment. This apply to landed, non-landed and HDB as well.

May i suggest you hired a pest-controller to check any wooden flr like parquet, wooden panel & wardrobes, once affirmation, you need to change from parquet to ceramic throughout,If the termites has infested your door-frames, it's is pretty useless to change only the affected area.

It may sounds frightening, bottom line, once you made that decision to proceed to fight them, it's worth the risk.

p/s: Termites are intelligent creature who can climb high and tall buildings like 24sty and they move in battalion formation. The pest-controller can destroy one colony in a certain area, they will come back and haunt you in 2-3months time, so to proper wipe out the colony, you need to engage Terminators on a package for 100% guranteed satisfaction.

Fought the termites and won -;)
