Hi Kaiqi,
May I know which area are you looking at? Just for your information, the ratio for HDB always changes monthly.

Dear Kaiqi,
HDB Ethnic group : Chinese 84% for neighborhood, 87% for each block, Malays 22% for NH , 25% for block, Indians & others is 12% for NH and 15% for block.
For Singapore PR quota (Malaysian PR not included) 5% for neighborhood and 8% for each block.
If you are PRs from china, your are affected by this PR quota

Hi Kaiqi,
Its a policy laid down to prevent a block or an estate from being over-populated with a single race. It changes every month according to the movement of the occupiers, therefore, u need to check as each month may varies. For eg., when it means chinese ratio filled, it simply mean that buyer can only buy from chinese owner.
Please call me at 98170819 if u have further query.

Hi,
You can keep a look out in HDB web as this ratio change on monthly basis. But like what Joseph has suggested, look for a chinese seller will be a better option.

Hi Kaiqi,
For every HDB block, there's a certain percentage of which type of races can stay there. It's to control certain races being over populated. Only way is to buy from a chinese owner if the area you looking for already chinese ratio filled.
