I see more than 5 website have ads , flatdb , sg-house , sgonline , gumtree , propertyguru etc , all advertising very confusing. At the ads never say anything / not clear when i try to contact the agent , some say only some race can rent the place or only can rent with advanced rental payment . And also when needed to view , have many people view the house . Realy not understand rental market at Singapore . At my country when you have ads , the first tenant needed to view agent served until he not confirm then second tenant can be view . My question if you are agent and all the tenant view together & all like to confirm the house , maybe you only can say , one tenant have the family cannot rent because the owner not allow or other reason , this thing can say make the property at singapore bad .Please for all agent , gentle when you are served tenant . Put the ads clear for tenant to view .

Dear Guru, I've a unit at City Square Residence, 3 bedroom at high floor and unblock view. Averagely how fast can an agent rent it out??? Two weeks, one months, two months?? Most likely TOP in January 2009. If the market rental rate at S$5,500, and I will lower down to S$5,300, then how fast can it be rented out??? Thank you

I am currently renting a fairly large (1300sq.ft) 1 bedroom apartment in Nanak Mansions on Meyer Road. Rent $3000/mth. Looking to find a new place to move in November 1st. Looking for 1 or 2 bedroom place, can be smaller than 1300sq.ft paying approx $2500 inclusive bills. Would like to stay in current area but can look at Siglap or other areas if necessary. Please advise.

Hello Guru, I am moving to Singapore for a 4-year assignment. I am looking for a rental apartment close to my work(door to door max. 30mins, my office location is Clemenceau). My budget is between S$1500 and S$2000. My questions are following: 1. What will be the best option for me, furnished or unfurnished apartment? 2. Will I be able to get an apartment at Rival Valley Road? Many thanks!

Any views on pte condos in Balestier area? Heard that its a "red light" district yet condos there are not exactly cheap compared to Geylang. Price differences can also be a lot for condos say within 2km radius of Balestier Plaza. Pinnacle 16 is much more expensive than Kemaman Point. Any reasons apart from the age?
