HiGuru, I had a query .My brother working in an BPO Industry having monthly income of 30k In Mumbai wanted to buy a flat in mira road .he applied for a loan with icici was given a sanction also but later it was rejected .he gave partial payment to the builder .And now has he is not getting loan the builder is giving back the money after deducting big amount from it as registeration charges.what shud he do shud he apply from any other bank.As he is presently staying on rental basis.permanent residence is in nashik. plz do suggest.

Hi. I am interested in buying a 3 + 1 unit at the Guilin View Condo. I have a couple of questions: 1)How much cash on hand should i have to be able to purchase, that is other than the CPF? My husband and i are both PR for 6 years now, but he is the sole breadwinner and his monthly income is $23,000. 2)Is it better to buy property this time of year of do we wait till December? 3)If and when a condo unit is priced at 700K, we will be able to negotiate to get it at 600k? I viewed a Condo which was for rent via an agent last week and the decided to rent the condo.The agent who claimed that he was authorised to sign the letter on intent on behalf of the owner.So paid him a $1000 deposit instantly and he gave us a letter on intent to rent the condo.Just on the eve of the day where we were suppose to finalise the deal he contacted me and informed that unless i sign a 2 year lease the deal cannot go through.What are my options against the agent?

Business Times reported that private home prices CAME down and more so in view of the economic market in USA. Does it mean that the Singapore market can still be shielded from the sub prime market in uSA or is it that our banks are NOT at all affected? The reason for my question is that all owners seem to be asking ridiculous prices despite bad market conditions like in Mt Sinai asking for over S$2 million and no takers.
