The tenancy of My 104 sq m (1,119 sq ft) 3-bedroom unit on 5th level is up for renewal in couple of months. our agent just informed me he could not take up the tenancy renewal for me. Couple of questions as follows:
1. Can I do the tenancy renewal DIY and what are the necessary steps, including stamping the TA?
2. Based on present market conditions, can I get monthly rent of $3,300 for my unit?
Early reply will be most appreciated

Dear Mr Ong!

Good day to you!
I’m Daniel Tan from Huttons.

The main procedures of renting out your property:

1. Going through the Tenancy Agreement (TA)
make sure that the TA is updated to add in any new conditions or clauses that have changed since last time the TA was signed

2. Stamping of documents
This can be done via IRAS using the calculator to understand how much the tenant need to pay

3. Inventory List
This might be updated since the last time it was documented.

4. Checks on the tenant EP/SPass etc
Whether they have expired

Your asking of S$3,300 is reasonable for unit of your size in Woodhaven.

Please allow me to assist you with the renewal or finding of a replacement tenant. I am very active realtor in Woodhaven. We can also arrange to meet at Woodhaven if you need more information.

Hear from you soon.

Any other queries?
