My partner owns a private property and I’m the occupier. Am i eligible to apply for HDB, and would I need to be “unlisted” as an occupier for 30 months before applying for my HFE? I do not own/coown the private property.

You do not need to wait out before applying for HFE as long as you fulfil the eligibility criteria as listed on HDB website.

Hi,

Since you are not the owner of any private property, you can purchase the next HDB as long as you fulfill the hdb eligibility conditions. Assuming you are 35 years old and above, you can purchase resale HDB under single singaporean citizen scheme. And you can apply the HFE letter now.

If you are not 35 years old yet, and since you are not married, you can only apply HDB with your parents name included.

Hi, to add on to what I said previously, are the two of you married? If both of you are married, it might not be possible for you to apply for a HDB as both of you will now form a family nucleus and both of your names need to be in the application of an HDB. If you are not married yet, you need to be eligible under one of the schemes before you can purchase a HDB. Read More
