Dear sir/mdm,

If you have a buyer agent, the agent should be handling all viewings arrangements, from calling up the probable listings to making arrangements for viewings and negotiating for an offer.

I am assuming that this is a private property transaction, therefore the commission paid out by seller to the agent is likely shared between the seller and buyer agent, therefore seller agent may feel shortchanged in answering all your queries and doubts on behalf of buyer's agent, yet require to share the commission upon a successful transaction.

Should buyer's agent be collecting commission from the buyer instead of sharing, then introduction at a later stage is fine in my personal opinion. This has happened once to me before when a buyer decided to bring in his own agent to negotiate for the offer and take care of all the documentation works and advise on the procedures.
