I would like to engage a lawyer for this matter that I’m unsure of.
My mother’s HDB house is fully paid. Dad is still around but no longer staying in Singapore. She wants me to put down my name as a Joint Tenancy. What is in my mind is that If i agree to do so and put my name down as a Joint Tenancy will I still be able to buy a BTO flat with my wife in the future as a first timer?

Yes my dad is contactable. So what you saying is it would be possible to obtain a BTO being co owner is that right? The reason for the joint tenancy is because mom want to give me the house is the event of her passing. But then I understand that I cannot hold 2 hdb flats under my name. So I'm thinking of putting my son's name who will be 21 in 2 years. Would this be possible.
