Hi Mdm Tam,

The amount of loan is based on your income. Your husband is considered as first timer if his name is not include in the HDB. You all plan to buy the condo under both name or your husband name only ?

Good afternoon Lynda, do you meant you are the sole owner of your HDB and your husband doesn't own any property at the moment? Do take note that if he purchases a property under his name, there won't be any additional buyer's stamp duty as a Singapore citizen (if he is). If you decide to purchase under both names, there will be a 7% ABSD as a SC (applicable for second property purchase). As for the loan component, do let my banker advise you on your in principle approval thus you will have a better idea how much loan can you obtain from bank. Hope to hear from you soon! Hi Lynda, you husband would be considered a 1st time buyer if the next property is purchased only in his name. As such, if he is a SC, there will not be any ABSD. However, can I confirmed that even though your HDB is fully paid, MOP has also been fulfilled? Do give me a call @ 81613790 or email me propnex@me.com if you required more assistance. Hi Mdm Lynda, if you planning to purchase a condo together with your husband, then the stamp duty alone would be 10% of the purchase price. But if your husband is buying a condo using his own name alone, then the stamp duty is only 3%.
