I'm planning to sell my condo(fully paid for) n ballot for a HDB (2nd timer) How should I time the buying and selling taking into consideration that completion date of new HDB flats is usually more than 2yrs. When would I need to sell my condo upon successful application of a flat?

Hi ICE,

Refering to this link "http://www.hdb.gov.sg/fi10/fi10321p.nsf/w/BuyingNewFlatEligibilitytobuynewHDBflat?OpenDocument" I believe you will be ineligible to purchase a new HDB direct from HDB.

However, you may still purchase a resale HDB from the open market and you'll have to sell your existing condo within 6 months from the completion of your HDB purchase. Should you need to utilise the proceeds from the sales of your condo for the purchase, timing is critical.
