I’m currently earning 6.3k a mth & I’m thinking of buying a 3-tmr resale flat under the singles scheme. However I’m not able to get a Hdb loan and I cannot afford the 5% cash down payment for bank loan. Any idea how?

Hi Sir/ Mdm,

Do take note you will have to be a Singaporean and at least 35 years old to be eligible under Single Singapore Citizen Scheme.

If you will have to take bank loan due to your income exceeds income ceiling of $6k for HDB loan eligibility, yes you will have to fork out 5% cash downpayment.

If you dont have sufficient cash, you will have to borrow from family, friends etc.

I heard some buyers even take a personal loan for cash downpayment. I wont encourage as it will affect your loan amount.

Hope my sharing aids in clearing your doubts.

May I know how can I value add further in your property needs?
